Hi,

I use powerpoint every day at work. I just received a file from someone
that continues to promt me for a use name and password for our staging
server. If I hit cancel it just goes away. The problem is, I do not want
this prompt to show up anymore. I think someone tried to imbed a link into
the PPT presentation and now it is stuck in the template. How do I get rid
of it? I have tried creating a new template and pasting the paging in.
Unfortunately it follows over to the new template. Can anyone help???

It sounds like somebody applied password protection to the PPT, which you can
do in 2002 and later.

You'll need the password to open the presentation and resave w/o a password.
