Please help. I've spent a few hours trying to find out
how to hyperlink a slide to a web page for my EDU204 -
Integrating Technology in the Classroom course. What I
did find didn't work. The notes I have are -

Select the text or object you want to hyperlink to
Insert, hyperlink
link to
click Existing File or Web Page
Go to the web page - which I did using the browse option

THEN WHAT???

It seems like I'm missing a final step or two. Anyway,
this didn't work.

Yup, beats me too. But when you click Browse it opens your browser.
Go to the web site you want to link to then copy the site's URL from the
browser's address bar, then switch back to PPT and paste the URL into the text
box it provide for the file or web page name.

If you know the URL, there's no need to browse ... just type it into the text
box and you're done.

I have seen in some versions of PowerPoint the URL gets automatically
entered when you browse to the web page, but I think this is inconsistent
across versions and configurations, so take Steve's advice and copy the
URL into the box.

Thanks for the confirm on that. At least it proves either that I haven't
totally lost my marbles or that I have company. ;-)
