PowerPoint hanging over and over

Since I installed Vista, I've been unable to open PowerPoint 2007 Beta 2 for
more than a few seconds without it hanging. I've opened it in safe mode, gone
through Detect and Repaire twice, rebooted, turned the computer off and on.
All this sometimes helps for a few seconds, but then it hangs again.
Restarting the program right away doesn't work-it just hangs immediately.

I'm having a similar problem with Word (also 2007 Beta 2), but not as bad.
That one is hanging with a "Searching for printer. Press Esc to Cancel"
message. It never finds the printer, pressing Esc doesn't do anything. But by
renaming the document I've been able to actually work in Word.

But PowerPoint isn't working at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It worked fine yesterday in XP.

There have been problems with the beta office when upgrading from XP.

Try to uninstall it, and reinstall it, and see if it persists.

it is a good idea to install the video card drivers anyway, but that
"shouldn't" be the issue. Give it a hook, as with a beta, it literally could
be anything causing the issue.

It is interesting that last known good config works on this though, I will
try to find something concrete for you.
