powerpoint general question

Help urgent please! I bought software Microsoft home office 2007 because I
needed to use the powerpoint in it to do my course work, I installed it to my
computer seemingly successfully but all I ever got was a powerpoint viewer. I
download home trial version of powerpoint itself but still all I can open is
the viewer. What's wrong? My assigment submission date has come and gone.
Please help!
