PowerPoint Fonts

We are currently in the process of having a new company PowerPoint template
designed. The font used by the designer in the most recent template is
Helvetica Neue. This font doesn’t seem to come standard with PowerPoint in
Microsoft XP, but when we open the template, the font appears as a font menu
option, along with Helvetica Neue Light.

If we were to agree to use the Helvetica Neue font in our new template, will
it always be the case that this font will appear once the template is opened?
Also, if the template were to be used on a machine that wasn’t running XP,
would the font appear correctly?

No, that font will not always be available for PPT to use.

Stick with Arial and Times New Roman if you need to ensure the fonts are
available -- those are on probably 99.9% of the PC systems around.
