PowerPoint events for adding a shape, deleting a shape and slide

There are events for adding a new slide and changing selection, but from what
I can see, there are none for adding a new shape to a slide, deleting a
shape, and deleting a slide. Am I missing something? Is there some way I can
use the existing events to get the same information?

My objective, in case you're wondering, is to keep a c# Windows program
which has a TreeView of the slide and shape structure of a PowerPoint
presentation synchronized with the presentation. Currently, I am doing this
passively with a "Refresh" button but it would be cool if I could
automatically keep the two synchronized

There is a selection change event. Why not use that to do start a refresh?
99% of the time there won't be any changes to your tree, but it should
capture the addition.
