When I click on the MS office icon in the upper left corner of my Powerpoint,
the "recent documents" are displayed. How do I delete these? Thanks for your
help.

*IF* you know what you are doing with the registry you can delete all or some
entries at key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\PowerPoint\File MRU

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm using 2007; the warning on proceeding I take seriously due to lack of experience. Am I corect to assume that this process is straight forward if I proceed a slow, methodical fashion?

It is pretty straight forward. You could create a registry restore point
before you start mucking with the Registry. Keeping in mind that once you
open PowerPoint again you will begin to accumulate presentations that you
open.

If you do not want any previous presentations displayed, then just click on
the Office Button, PowerPoint Options, Customize, and set the MRU to zero

Thanks for patience. I can't locate the MRU on the customize page. Vista is my operating system.
