How do I setup clip art online to be a Powerpoint default? My Powerpoint no
longer defaults to clip art online when I try to search for clip art.

Hi

If you are using 2002 or 2003 then in the clip art task pane under 'search
in' make sure 'web collections' and 'Microsoft Office Online' are ticked.
Sorry I can't remember how to do anything in earlier version ;-)

I have all of those checked already but Powerpoint does not go online to
search for clip art. The default used to be underneath those selections,
which is clip art on Office Online, where when I clicked on insert picture
and then selected clip art the online clip art would show up. One of the
Microsoft patches has disabled this and I would like to put it back as the
default. I can click on the online search everytime but it didn't use to be
like that. By using this work around you have to either copy the clip art or
download it and it takes much more time. Thanks for your suggestion.

Hmmmm sounds like anti-virus/security software is stopping ppt from
connecting to the web directly maybe? I am unable to recreate your problem
and I have all the windows & office updates so I don't think the MS patch
would stop it happening permanently.

Sorry not to be of more help :-(

Hi,

It might be this. Go to Help| Customer Feedback Options| and in the
Categories on the left, pick Online content. Are the online options turned
on there?

This may be a solution but my Customer Feedback Options under all of the
Office products is greyed out. Any ideas why this is happening.

I'm not positive, but I think this is an option that your organization's IT staff can
lock out if they wish.

If you're part of an organization like mine (CEO=me, IT Staff=me, Etc=me, Everything
Else=you guessed it) then this wouldn't apply.

Yes, I may have to check to see if this is a group policy or something.
Thanks for your help.
