PowerPoint crashes when closing

PowerPoint generates the "Microsoft Office PowerPoint has encountered a
problem and needs to close....." message whenever I close PowerPoint. This
problem has persisted through an upgrade from Office XP to Office 2003.
Because of this, my guess is that it is a registry entry.
Any ideas?

Are you using any add ins at all? If so disable them until you find the
offending add in.

Hey Steve,

I'm running powerpoint 2007. Have any suggestions? When I close Powerpoint
this is the exact message I get: Powerpoint has stopped working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Sometimes PowerPoint tries to restart. Then I get a message from MS telling
me to run Office Diagnostics (which I'm sick of running (everything is OK)
and then they say to download update (which I have and do and there set to
download automatically! It's a neusance and I'm ready to buy a MAC anyway
so tired of this!

It could be an issue with the printer driver. I know, I know, it sounds
weird. But try the instrux here:

How to install a TEST printer driver

If that doesn't do it, what add-ins do you have installed? Office Button |
PPT Options | Add-ins.

Hey steve thanks for the response. The only add-in is "send to blue tooth"
since it is a COM add-in MS s not allowing me to disable or remove it.

It's funny you mentioned that I just reinstalled my printer and still have
the problem plus I wante to let you know that I have only the COM add-in
(send to blue tooth) and MS will not let me mess with it.

Will install dummy printer driver now!

Echo S!!!!!!

Congatulations my friend! The printer driver may be the culprit. I have
an HP F2110 all -in-one printer and I have had fits with the updates anyway.
I'll start fighting with HP. BTW no updates were available.

YOU are a star!!!
