PowerPoint chart legend placement

Can a chart legend be placed within the chart itself in order to make the
chart larger? I've seen the placement options box, and have tried to copy
the legend and past it into the chart area, but nothing is working. Thanks!

Just click and drag the legend into place, then click your plot area and
drag it to size.
