powerpoint can't open

i have a new computer when i open my powerpoint to create a presentation.
they ask me for file name? i try some file name but it doesn't work! please
can you help me!

What asks you for a filename? The PowerPoint program? PowerPoint by default
opens to a blank presentation.

What kind? You've asked both here (where we mostly do Windows) and in the Mac
group. No problem with that, but let's make sure what you've got there before
we start giving you advice.
