POWERPOINT AND MEDIA FILES

Guest

Hi,

I have Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2.
Recently I'm unable to open emails which have certain attachments. These are:

..pps files (Type: Application/octet-stream)
Type: video/x-ms-wmv

Any email attachments that come with the above are all unable to be opened.
When the video emails as above go automatically to Windows Media Player they
come up with an error message and are unable to be played.

Your help with the above would be greatly appreciated as Im slowly going
crazy from frustration.

Hi malachite,

PPS are PowerPoint Slideshows, not video file types. You need to have the free PowerPoint Viewer installed in order to preview the PPS slides. To view and *edit* the slides, you need the Microsoft PowerPoint software.

Download details: PowerPoint Viewer 2007:

To view and *edit* the slides, you need the Microsoft PowerPoint software.

Or the free Open Office.....
