PowerPoint and Hi Definition Video

T

TECH9INE

I am going to be starting to prepare a PowerPoint presentation which
will need support for Hi Definition Video.

I will be setting up the slide sizes to match the aspect ratio of the
video we are using.

Has anyone used Hi Def video in a powerpoint presention before, and
have there been any problems.

I also need to know if PowerPoint can handle animated backgrounds. If
it can, what file format will it need as the background image?

Thanks

I have used Windows Media Video 9 videos at 1280 x 768 with a 4 MB rate. It
takes a lot of processor to play. It plays much smoother if you insert a
Windows Media Player object on a slide than just doing an Insert->Movies
From File. We ended up upgrading the hardware to a 2.4 ghz processor for
the devices playing these videos.

No problem, it's just another video file to PPT.

Won't matter, your video card will still send it out in the 4-3 ratio
format.

None beyond the normal issues.

No to the animated backgrounds.
