PowerPoint 97 and PowerPoint 2003

Hi all

My colleague has recently been upgraded from Office 97 to 2003. She creates
numerous organisation charts within PowerPoint but is having difficulties
with those she created in 97 and has opened in 2003.

As advised in previous threads, I have installed a piece of software that
allows you to edit 97 format charts in Office 2003 which works fine, however,
when you try and add 4 rows of data to one of the 'squares' within the Chart,
it will not let you. For some reason, you are not allowed more than 3 lines.

As she nees 4 rows of data for each person, can anybody tell me if this is
possible? We have encountered several problems with the transition from 97
to 2003 in PowerPoint - this is one of many.

I would be grateful for any help.

Thank you.

Louise.

I'm sorry you're running into so many issues with your upgrade, Louise. I
know that we've run into a few moving from 2000 to 2003 in my office, but
they're mostly printing issues.

As for the 4 lines in Org Chart,
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;132385 may help,
although your colleague should be able to put 4 lines in the existing boxes.
She should be hitting the problem when trying to add a fifth line.

Thanks for your reply, however, I can't get this to work. I have created the
new box, as stated, but when I try to drag it into the existing box, where i
wish to create the additional lines, it does not put the boxes together,
simply moves it into the position of a sub-ordinate.

I really don't think Microsoft thought the whole Migration process through
with PowerPoint.

Any more suggestions?

Thank you.
Louise
