PowerPoint 2007 stops working

Every time I close Microsoft PowerPoint, I get the message that it has
stopped working, followed by another message that states: A problem has
caused Microsoft PowerPoint to stop working. Windows is checking for a
solution. If a solution is found you will be notified.

I have a new HP PC with Vista and purchased Office Pro 2007 new...no older
versions were installed on my PC.

Anyone come across this before? I have all the updates on both Office and
Windows.
 
In addition to Luc's suggestion about the printer driver (which would be my
first suggestion, too), it could be an issue with an add-in.

If you go to Office Button | PowerPoint Options | Add-ins, are there any
add-ins listed?
