I cannot get Powerpoint 2003 to print in landscape format. I have applied all
the usual changes in the print dialogue window, but it still only prints and
previews in portrait.
Can anyone tell me how to overcome this problem.
Thank you

Very helpful, thank you, Sonia. The answer is to close PowerPoint, then set
the printer default setting to landscape, then re-open Powerpoint and it will
print landscape. Same procedure for vice versa. Bit of a fad really when
Powerpont 2000 worked fine. Still, I am very grateful for the help after
struggling for two days.

I'd check with the printer manufacturer for updated drivers. A new one might
avoid the need for all the extra tapdancing.

If not, then depending on your printer, you may be able to install two instances
of the driver, identical but for the name and orientation setting.

That would allow you to choose, eg. "My Printer - Landscape" or "My Printer -
Portrait" in the PowerPoint print dialog instead of having to quit and restart
PPT.
