PowerPoint 2003 Graph Attempting to Load Access2000 Rather than 20

PowerPoint 2003 (11.6361.6360)
The issue I am having is when attemping to edit a graph, [righ-click, chart
object, edit], Windows attempts to configure Access 2000 SR-1 [certain
aspects of Access 2000 are used by a separate program, therefore a
thin-client of A2000 is installed], but not all the files are available.
This requires me to hit cancel about 7+ times in order to edit the graph.

Here is a jpeg of the error (<100k)

I have Access 2003 installed, I would think Windows would know to use 2003
over 2000.

Is there a way to manually tell PowerPoint 2003 to use Access 2003?

Thanks,

I do not know the answer, but this is what I think may be the case. I
believe the issue resides in the windows OS default behavior for an Access
file, rather than with PowerPoint per se. When you call the graphing
program from PowerPoint, it is trying to find the graphing program of the
default but incomplete Office version.

To test this, try to edit your graph on a system without your thin client
and see if the error persists, I expect that it will not. You may have luck
by re-registering your A2003 as the default Access program, but you may want
to copy your registry before doing so, in case it disrupts your other
programs.

Thanks for the advice! While it didn't quite solve the problem, it did help
me narrow down the issue.

It seems the graph program that PowerPoint is attempting to use is the
Graph9 application included in the thin client office installation, rather
than the proper Office 2003 graph application. This is why it's trying to
find and install the missing the missing components.

I've tried to /regserver the graph application in 2003, but it still didnt'
work.

If only I could tell PowePoint to use the proper graph program! Back to
troubleshooting, thanks for you help.
