powerpoint 2003 default browser

I have a PPT 2003 presentation with a number of hyperlinks to websites. When
I package and run the presentation with the viewer, the links display
correctly and acccess my default browser. However, in Powerpoint itself, the
links open Internet Explorer instead of my default browser (Avant Browser, an
IE6 compatible browser)

Any idea as to what I'm missing? Is there a registry tweak I need?

Thanks

Thanks for your help. Tried the whole process with no change. I guess I'll
post it on the Avant forum. I'm a bit puzzled why it would be Avant wwhen the
behavior is ok when I link from other Office apps like Word (i.e. Word links
open in Avant).

Interesting question. I've checked this on several computers (Win2K and
XP/Home with both PPT 2000 and 2003, with Opera or Firefox set as default
browser. In all cases, PPT launched the default browser.

Sounds like it might be an Avant oddity.
