2 questions.
1. How can I slow down the crawl option? Moves across the
screen from bottom to top much to fast.
2. One slide among many will not allow me to designate
the effect. It will not work on a mouse click or on
automatic but will transition using the enter key or the
space bar?

You cannot set the speed of crawl or other effects in version 2000. Only
version 2002 allows that. The speed of the crawl effect, however, can be
influenced by (among other things) the size of the object it's moving and
how far the object is moving.

I don't understand your second question. What do you mean it won't allow you
to designate? How are you comparing the effect to a transition. Animation
effects are different from slide transitions.
