PowerDVD and Screen Captures

I want to take screen captures from pre-recorded DVDs and have read that
Cyberlink’s PowerDVD software will do this – either by pressing the
dedicated Screen Capture button or by pressing “Control C”. My version
of this Software (5.9) came pre-loaded with my Dell Computer and it has
no Capture button – nor will “Control C” work. In fact this software
has no menus or anything that will point me in the right direction. Am
I missing something?

Thanks in advance

I don't have PowerDVD installed now so
I cannot experiment and give you the exact
steps...but as I recall you can right click the
view screen to open a menu. Look for an
Advanced Options button and you should
be able to find the capture settings.

And maybe the following link will offer some
help:

CyberLink Knowledge Center - Screen Capture

Thanks for the thought - but a right click produces no menu screen in
View and there is no Configuration button either - as suggested in the
link you posted.

Any other thoughts?

It's not "CTRL + C" it's just "C" (Capital). You are a version or two
ahead of me but on mine using the default skin, there is an icon on
the control panel that looks like a camera which also invokes a screen
cap.

Not having the program leaves me in the
dark....all I can say is experiment until you
find the option...I'm practically it's there if
you can just find it.

I guess an alternative would be to purchase
a decoder...PowerDVD full version would
be one choice and InterVideo WinDVD
would be another.
