power user cant install software

steve

We are on an active domain.

I added a user to the local workstation called MrLPower (for mr local
power). Then I went to local groups on that workstation and added
MrLPower to the Power Users group.

I then tried to install software. It said I didnt have permission to
do so.

I then added MrLPower to the Local administrators group and I could
install software. Can anyone tell me why I cant install software as a
Local Power User. I believe your suppose to be able to.

Thanks.

Oh I see. mm its sort of a shot in the dark then. Some programs will
load nicely others will complain.
I will have to give them local Administrator authority
thanks that helps.
