Power User Account

Following new HDD and reinstall of Win XP Pro and software, I had trouble
with some software glitching or not running under non-Admin user. Unable to
resolve this oddity, I made "normal" user Admin - very inadvisable, I know.

So, having seen description on various sites (including Kelly's Korner)
about Power User Group, I used lusrmgr.msc to change "usual" logon from
Admin to Power User. Seems OK. However, Control Panel | User Accounts now
shows that account as "Unknown Account Type". Is it usual for a "Power
User" account to be shown thus?

TIA

No. Power Users should be listed as Power Users. Change your user's
account back to being a member of only the users group. Then contact
the software mftr. with which you are having trouble to see what
files/folders and/or registry entries need to have their permissions
adjusted.
