power surge

i am getting a errow message power surge on hub port the general
porpose usb hub has exceeded the power limits this only happens when i
try to print and i have all of my usb hubs not plug in i am using
windows xp-sp2 home i only have 2 usb ports on the back of my computer
and there is nothing plug in to them so what is the problen and how to
fix it please help thanks

Does the printer have the correct power supply? The printer is connected
via USB, is that correct?

no my printer is a parrell port and it only happen when i trty to
print but the printer works find .
