I have a ANTEC 550 True Power connected to a INTEL D875PBZ Motherboard

3.2 GHz Pentium IV Intel CPU
1 GB RAM Memory
2 - 250GB Western Digital SATA Drives
ASUS V9980 256MB Video Board (NVIDIA 5950 Ultra)
Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS Sound Board
1 - Plextor DVD
1 - Plextor CDRW
1 - IOMEGA 750MB ZIP
4 - 80mm Case Fans

The Intel Voltage Monitor is reading as follows:

+12V = 11.938V
+5V = 4.766V <<<<--- This one is out of spec.
+3.3V = 3.266V
+1.48V = +1.447V
+1.5 = +1.471

The Antec Power Supply indicates that the regulation is suppose to be +/- 3%

I am having some problems when I run a R/C Flight Simulator (RealFlight G3).
The graphics will pause and the system will make a clicking sound similar to
the one that my computer makes when the screen changes resolution although I
am not seeing any flickering of the CRT display.

Does anyone have any ideas ??

I'd say you have a problem in either the program or your display drivers.

As for the power supply, a motherboard voltage monitor is not accurate
enough to determine if the 5v is 'out of spec'.

the antec TruePower PSU's are the best i've ever seen, used, or worked
with, hands down. and that's saying quite a bit. on top of that,
they're heavy enough to bludgeon an elephant with ;p

i have never heard of a PSU's voltage causing hiccups in games, as was
already said, that measure of voltage is more or less meaningless. I
would update your DirectX, Video Drivers, and Audio Drivers. If those
do not fix the problem or are up-to-date, i'd start looking into
updating your northbridge driver (should be available, or at least
linked, from the motherboard manufacturer's website). If it's a
pentium machine, update Intel Application Accelerator as well.

also, clicking sounds seem to me like a hard disk problem... so you
might want to consider that possibility, as well.

I have the latest DirectX (Version 9c), NVIDIA Drivers (66.93) and
SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS drivers. The real weird thing is that the problems
only appear when I run either RealFlight G3 (R/C Flight Simulator) or run
the Futuremark 3DMark05 Benchmark Program. The clicking sound appears to be
louder that I would expect from a harddrive and some have suggested that my
Video Adapter may be overheating. Under normal 2d it idles at 53c and when I
start a 3D intensive program it will immediately jump to 72c and then get as
high a 80c.

I have looked for the Intel Application Accelerator drives on the INTEL site
and they seem to indicate that they are nor longer required. I still have
the original CDROM that came with the motherboard so I will do some
additional research on them.

I will also look for the updated NorthBridge drivers at the same time. Is
there anyway to determine which versions are currently installed on my
machine?

close.

+5V = 4.77

I imagine they'll explain that regulation is not the same thing as initial
accuracy but I don't see a spec on their site for accuracy.
