Power Shutdown Windows 2000 Professional

When selecting the shutdown option for 2000 the computer
closes the operating system but does not automatically
power down. Is there a patch for this??

Just before the recent upgrade of our server to SP4, I noticed that
the server would properly close the O/S, but would NOT turn off the
box.

I had hoped that the upgrade wuld cure this, but it did not.

I do not find this a super "seriouos" thing, since the server is up
24/7, but the server always used to shut down properly. I find it
disconcerting that it would suddenly start doing this.

I would welcome any ideas as well!
