Power Saving Mode

When switching USB cables the monitor went black...turned PC off then
on..."Power Saving Mode" appeared briefly on monitor...then black again.

Unplug the usb cable, and see if the computer will start properly. If
the cable had a short, it could have hosed the motherboard, I suppose..
the "Power Saving Mode" notice could mean there's no signal to the monitor.
