Power Point Show

I am in the process of making a PPS. I have a total of 18 slides (they are
all done) I have added two sound files to the show. The first sound (music
file) plays perfectly withmy first six slides, then I come to the seventh
slide where I have my second file (music) and it is to play throughout the
rest of the show, however it will not transition the slides. When I take
that file out the slide transition perfectly. Please help with this

Go to your custom animation Task Pane. on the approrpriate slide.

Select the music that "won't play" across slides. Make sure it is the first
of all animations on that slide
In the drop down menu click Effect Options
In the Play Sound Dialog Box, under Stop Playing, select the number of
subsequent slides on which you would like your music to play.

Sandy thank you very much for the information I have moved the file to be the
first on the slide and I have it playing for 12 slides. The slide still
doesn't proceed forward and now it is becomming very frustrating. I have
been fiddling with this for about three days.

Do you have the music set to animate "with previous?"

Yes I have the music set to start with previous, ughhh this is quite
frustrating

Set the "stop after" to 999 for both of your background sound files.

By the way, which version of PPT are you using? I'm betting it's 2002 (aka
PPT XP). You can see the version if you go to Help|About.
