Power Point Presentation will not save change in font size

The font on my presentation keeps reverting back to a size too large to fit
on the page. I have tried autoformat, saving after each change, copying to a
new slide with the proper format. It has progressively affect most of the
slides. At times, a slide will hold the change, then loose it, the next time
it is opened. Help!

First do View/Normal a couple of times to make sure that the slide thumbnail
pane is showing on the left. Then head to View/Master/Slide Master.

Are your slides picking up the font formatting from the first master in the
list?

A co-worker of mine is experiencing a similar problem with a file I sent her.
My title fonts are set to 20pt but when she opens up the file, it comes in at
32pt. Other text on the page is similarly enlarged. She's running PowerPoint
97 and I created my presentation in PowerPoint 2003. Any ideas on how to fix
this? Thanks.

Change the order of the masters in PPT 2003 and make sure PPT 97 is fully
patched.

Other than that, copy the placeholder and paste it on the slide. A pasted
placeholder is no longer a placeholder.
