Power Point "Insert Picture from File"

When I created an earlier Power Point presentation, I had no trouble
inserting pictures from files; however, now I get a message saying that my
(jpg) files can't be inserted into Power Point. What's a possible fix for
this?

Since most people don't have any problems inserting images into PowerPoint,
perhaps you could provide more details. Which version of PowerPoint are you
using? What is the exact text of the error message. Do you have the same
problem when you insert a GIF or PNG image?

Thanks, Ellen! I had been using the pull-down Insert menu from the top of the
page to insert photos earlier. But now that will only accept photos already
labeled .ppt. However, after checking out other possibilities, I discovered
that the "insert picture" icon from the bottom drawing toolbar will allow me
to do this. Anyway, I appreciate your willingness to help.
