I have 3000 hyperlinks on 1500 PPt slides, each slide has text on top and a
pic in the middle, I have each section linked to another folder. I had to
change computers after a crash and need to update all the links to the new
locations. Each link has a new owner name and a new folder name that the
location is actually stored in. Trying to change the base location did not
help. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Before you try FixLinks, let me understand the problem a bit better.

Is it that you have a bunch of links like:

\\OldServer\SomeFolder\SomeFile.ext

that need to change to

\\NewServer\MaybeNewFolder\SomeFile.ext

across the board? In other words, if PPT's Search/Replace function could
search for "\\OldServer\SomeFolder\" and replace it with
"\\NewServer\MaybeNewFolder\" would that fix it in one shot?

(Don't get too excited yet ... Search/Replace won't do this, alas.)

Or do you have a more random collection of servers/folders that needs to be
relinked with no particular pattern?
