power outage

my boss cannot remember his windows 2000 password. On my
windows 98 at home it has an option to cancel at the
password area and it lets me right it. It doesn't have
that option on 2000. How does he get back on his
computer?? Please help

Well, this could be a tricky one. More details would help
though. Is this the only computer in the office? Small
Business or large corp.? If you have an IT support staff,
they should be able to reset his pw. If it's a single
computer, then there should still be an Administrator pw
that can log on and reset it. Again though, whoever
originally set up Win 2000 on that computer would know it.
