POWER icon missing from Notification area of tray

On a laptop the POWER (battery) icon should always
appear. I can go into Properties -> Notification Area
and check POWER, but the next time the unit is booted
there will be other icons (CLOCK, NETWORK, etc.) but no
POWER...

???

Rightclick on the bottom taskbar does not show
"requirements" or a System tab. I can see TOOLBARS,
ADJUST DATE/TIME, CUSTOMIZE (but there's no help
there!), etc... Properties -> Notification allows me to
start the POWER (battery) indicator, but it must be done
each boot.

Sorry, not "requirements" but "properties" where you can mark in "system"
energie.
I couldn't simulate it but of earlier experience i do know that sometimes
only clicking the ok is not enough ...accept has has to be clicked.
I am using Vista Home Premium.
