Power Fan below threshold

Richard

I recently install a ASUS motherboard in my old case.

I saw a message "Power Fan below threshold" from ASUS utility software.

Does that mean I need to buy a new Power Supply 300W?

Thank you in advance

Have you got a "quiet" PSU?

I have quiet PSU, chassis fans and CPU and graphics card fans that all spin
more slowly than standard ones. The motherboard hardware monitor always has
the speeds flashing up in red.

Thank you for your reply. What is PSU?

I have a cha fun and a CPU fun.

Can you tell me where is the fun for the power?

I just remembered that on Asus motherboards the 'Power Fan speed' is usually
taken from the rear chassis fan connector - or it is at least with my two
boards.

So, how do I know whether I need to change the power supply or not?

you could put together a true rms and harmonic distortion meter, as well
as check the exhaust air for high temps, that'd do the deed.
