pound sign

Can anyone help me sort out the pound sign instead of the
dollar sign. Have tried locales uk ect no joy....
 
By locals I assume you mean both Regional Settings and Keyboard settings?

Mark,
There are the 'International' settings and the 'Keyboard' settings. You will
need to check both.
