Posting in Discussion Gps - can I default to receive Notifications

Hi, couple times I've forgotten to click the "Notify me of replies" box --
ok, bit trigger-happy on the Post button - sorry :(

Is there any way of defaulting it to YES notify me - either for just me or
for everybody ? I would imagine people pretty much always DO want to be
notified = so much more efficient than keep visiting to check.

Thanks, Gerry )

Don't know - I don't use that feature, or that interface.

However, if you want efficiency, ditch the web interface to the newsgroups!
You might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte
Agent rather than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot easier to
do nearly everything there, including searching, which is always a good idea
to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter
based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.

Actually, Gerry - this isn't a discussion group. Since you are using the
web interface, you may not realize that this is really a newsgroup. You
will get far more out of this resource if you learn to use a
newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows, but you can
use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are some links to
