possibly corrupt IE

Mella

ok...i tried to download a program from HP...after
downloading when i tried to instal it i would get an
error message saying that it was not a valid win32
something or other...through support with hp, they told
me one of my IE files might be corrupt...they told me to
redownload IE, and gave me link...or download Netscape,
and gave me link...then they gave me a few other options
to try...ok i went easy route...i just downloaded
netscape, for fear of loosing favorites, and set up of
toolbars, etc...in IE...after i got netscape, i
downloaded application, and it worked fine...so am i to
assume it is a problem with my IE? Thanks
