possible lightning strike after storm

I think my mother's pc was recently struck by lightning. She left it on
during a storm and now all it does is flicker. The on/off button and the
lights to the right of the keyboard flicker. There is a ticking sound
associated with the flickering lights. She disconnects the power and lights
go off, but when she turns it back on it does the same. Not able to boot at
all. Any suggestions or other questions? Thanks

I certainly sounds likely that the lightning damaged or ruined the hardware.
She'll need to take the machine to a qualified to shop to see if it can be
fixed, but she shouldn't be surprised if she finds that it has to be
replaced.
