positioning tables

Hi
I´m a new user to frontpage, so excuse me for asking a probably fairly
simple question. When I turn "show favourites" on in browsermode, I would
like my tables and other content on the webside to adjust to the narrower
window. This requires the margins in both sides to become narrower. Instead I
experience that my left margin is unaltered, whereby the content (when I turn
"show favourites" on in browsermode) is pushed to the right and therefore
hides some of the content in the window.
Can I remedy this without explicitly writing the code myself, and how do I
do it - and if not, does anyone know the relevant code?
