What is the best way to make my contacts portable in Outlook??? I have
recently taken a new job and would like to take my Outlook contacts with me.
What is the best way to do this and is there a procedure out there available
to use???

Thanks in advance for your help.

It goes without saying that you should be aware of any non-compete or
confidentiality agreements you have with your former employer.
Outlook's Import/Export (File -> Import and Export) wizard should get you
where you want to go. In "Choose an action to perform", choose "Export to a
file" and press Next. In "Create a file of type", choose "Comma Separated
Values (DOS)" for maximum portability or "Personal Folder File (.pst)" if
you already know you will be importing this into the same version of
Outlook. The rest of the wizard is fairly self-explanatory.
Most MUAs (mail user agent) such as Outlook Express, Evolution, Thunderbird,
Eudora, and even Google's Gmail support importing contacts from a
CSV-formatted file.
See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA011260871033.aspx for
information on Comma Separated Values (DOS) and Comma Separated Values
(Windows).

Hope that's helpful,

Ron
