Port 25 Outlook Express

I have two computers, with wired Router.
Both can access Web pages, and send web based Emails.
One will enable Outlook Express to send and receive Emails.
The other will allow receipt of emails, but will not enable 'send'.
Both are Windows XP SP3
Error
SMPT, Port 25 Secure (SSL) No error No 0x800ccc19
The error code is for timeout.

I have looked at Control Panel, Add/Remove, to find an Outlook Express
entry, hoping to find a sequence via 'Delete' then an option
to re-install.
But.
There is no Outlook Express entry in Control Panel, Add/Remove.

In 'My Computer', 'Hard Disk', Programs there is an Outlook
Express entry containing msimm.exe also Setup 50.
is it possible that the 'Delete' will give me a re-install option.
Or
What do you advise.

So far as I am aware, the problem arrived with the help
of my No 5 grandson.

You don't want to uninstall OE (which I believe you can't do anyway). You
want to correct the settings for your outgoing mail server in OE. Open OE
and go to Tools>Accounts and look for the outgoing mail server. Your
Internet Service Provider will have instructions on their website as to how
to set OE to work with their mail server.

On another issue, You didn't say how old the "No 5 grandson" is but if he is
10+, it would also be smart to do a scan for malware.

Many thanks for your reply. Good of you.
No 5 Grandson is 17.
Used ZA Anti-Virus, Spybot, Adaware .. then ..
Via Outlook Express >Tools > Accounts
I set up 'this server requires a secure connection'
'Apply'
This cleared the held 'to send' emails.
But further attempts to 'send' gave an error
'this server does not support secure connection'
So I retuned back to the default state by
unticking the ''this server requires a secure connection'.
And everything is back to normal.
What did I do?? Was this a glitch?

You had the wrong settings. You fixed the settings. Now things work. This is
usually the way things go with computers. Unfortunately, these wonderful
machines can't read your mind and will actually do things the way you've
instructed them to. Even if they're not the right way. ;-)
