port 110 and 25 problem

i am using Xp prefessional edition, but recently after i installed Norton Antivirus 2004, i can not send and receive any mail using outlok express(before this is fine). the following information appears

When attempting to send and receive email the connection to the server
has failed. Account <account name>, server, <server name>, protocol,
port 110, 0x800ccc0

any reply is ver much appreciated

Turn off E-mail scanning in Norton Antivirus 2004. It doesn't give
any protection that you don't already have, and it can cause the
problems you're seeing.
