Porn site messed up my home page and I can't change it back

I was donig research and misspelled a site URL.The PC jumped me to a porn site that changed my Home Page and added a bunch of addresses in my Favorites folder. I cleared the Favorites Folder and changed my Home Page back with tools/Internet options and hit apply and Ok to save it back to the old homepage. When I restart the PC running ME. The IE program has the Home Page changed again and the shortcuts back in the favorites folder. I am a amateur so can someone please give me step by step instructions as to how to change my home page and make it stay there!
