Popups come up, but don't load

I have Windows XP w/sp1 (sp2 crashes my system) and the latest IE.

When I click on something that opens in a new window, the window pops up,
but never loads. If I hit ESC and the F5, it loads, but it never loads on the
first click.

I don't have any external toolbars loaded. Is there a way to totally reset
IE? I have gone into tools options and done that and cleared all the cach
and deleted the plugins.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Peter :)

If you have any 3rd party toolbars installed (Google, Yahoo) disable them.
If you have Yahoo Companion, uninstall it. If still no joy, then try the
following and see if it helps:

Go to Start>Run> and register the following dll's by using
regsvr32 command. Try the first 2, then see if it resolves the problem. If
not then register the rest of the .dll's:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll?
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 scrrun.dll?
regsvr32 msxml.dll?
regsvr32 mshtml.dll?
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll?
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 msjava.dll?

If that doesn't work, then check out the following article and do the
additional steps outlined there:

Awesome! That worked great. I only had to register the first 2.

Thanks for the Help,

Then you don't have the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine installed.

Understand that because of a court decision Microsoft will stop all Java
