Popup Blocker prevents .doc and .pdf Results with Time Warn Road R

When I log onto Time Warner Road Runner, enter the search phrase, and get
list of Results, none of the Results with .doc and .pdf suffixes will open.
All others will.

I just get a weird blip whether just clicking on or doing a CTRL click on
the Result.

Time Warner researched it and said it is a popup blocker problem in my
Windows XP Professional.

Can anyone recommend a fix?

Hi Donald,

See:

How to configure the Pop-up Blocker on a computer that is running Windows XP
Service Pack 2:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=843016

Also verify if any of the third-party addons (Google Toolbar, Yahoo
Companion toolbar) are blocking the pop-ups.

Hi Ramesh,

Thank you for your recommendations. The Service Pack 2 was too generic for
the issue that I had.

But, the Google suggestion worked well. I now have to Internet-search via
Google and it's Toolbar rather than Road Runner, but it did the trick.

I appreciate your assisstance and quick response.

You're very welcome, Donald.
