populating a field with selected file in explorer?

using a field double click function - can you open windows explorer (pointed
to a default directory) and highlight a field name from the field list -
then bring that field name back to populate the access field value?

Do you mean "highlight a *file* name from the *file* list, then bring
that *file* name back ..."? If so, see the code posted at :
