Sirs
According to the below URL and message my IP address was
given by your company. How do I stop the messages from
Microsoft's Messenger Service

www.messengerblocker.com

Have you ever had an adverisement pop-up out of nowhere
on your desktop?

Congratulations, you've been hit by the newest form of
unwanted advertising, or spam. This message was sent to
your computer through a built in feature that Microsoft
included in your copy of Windows 2000, NT, or XP. These
types of spam messages are worse than unwanted e-mail
since you dont even need to have an e-mail account or web
browser. If you are one of the millions of people who get
unwanted messages like these everyday, there is hope.

After doing a little research I found the only way to
block these spam messages from ever appearing on my
screen required doing extensive tweaking and configuring
of my computer. It didn't seem right that I had to go
through so many hoops just to stop these unwanted
messages. I can see how it can be almost intimidating to
some people. To help out the millions who don't want to
receive these messenger spam pop-ups but are to
intimidated to do anything about it, I came up with an
easy solution. With Messenger Blocker, you can block
these unwanted and illegal pop-up messages forever with
the click of a button! No longer do you have sit and wait
as your computer freezes or crashes due to one of these
messages. Messenger Blocker will block each and every pop-
up ad sent through Microsoft's Messenger Service.

Open Help and Support and search for "firewall". This will tell you how to
enable XP's built in firewall. If you have a valid reason not to use a
firewall, click Start, Run and enter SERVICES.MSC Locate the Messenger
entry and double click it. Set it to Stopped and Disabled.

However, the reason they can get to the Messenger Service (not to be
confused with Windows Messenger) in the first place, is that your internet
connection is not secure.

Apparently when you disable the messenger service you are
also disabling the ability of alerts to be transmitted...

Nancy's mail is the advertisement of the spammer itself.

They are the exorcists sending broadband spam to promise getting rid-off the
very spam they created. Not a bad trick.

Do not pay the exorcists. Beat the bastard, stop these annoying pop-ups.
Follow Doug Knox's advices. I did. They work!

Simple procedure: Control Panel/ Network Connections/ right click on line:
LAN or High Speed Internet/ Properties/ Advanced/check the checkbox: I want
protection, it makes your Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) active/
Settings/check the checkboxes for services you want to get through on your
active ICF (usually all offered boxes).

If you made a mistake, you can redo and correct. Simple isn't it. For this
little exercise they want to rob you. Do not let them to enjoy this robbery!
