Pop up windows

My kids are plagued with pop up windows trying to sell
them all sorts of stuff on their computer at home. AOL
has a browser option to turn of unsolicited pop ups. I
can't find a way of doing that on IE 6 on XP any ideas?

Having same problem. Pop up software somehow got embedded
in either Explorer or XP. Everytime we long to internet
via DSL one main window named Odessey pops up which spawns
a whole bunch of other pop ups. So many in fact that it
drops explorer from "online" to "offline" and it causes
Explorer to attempt to dial up using the modem. Anybody
know what file this has embedded itself in in order to
delete it. Thanks for any help. jdubu

If you are bothered by *simple* online popups, and by all rights you should be,
get a free popup stopper, http://www.panicware.com/product_psfree.html
If the popups are happening when you are offline, or with your Browser sitting
at "idle" - Please post back for further assistance.
