Hi

I have a main form with subform which link to a RiskRefID.

Data entry on this form is ok.

I want to create a button on the subform, so when I click on this button, it
will pop up a form, this form will create a new records for the subform but
autofill the previous data from the subform that currently display on the
Main Form, so that I can edit the previous data. and when I close this pop up
form, the Subform in the Main should update the latest records that was
created on the pop up form.

Thanks for any help.

Just curious, but why don't you edit the current subform? Maybe I am
missing your question!

HI Duane

Because the user want to track all the changes to that partcular field over
times.

So instead of using the Audit tracking tool since I have so many tables.
Therefore I want what ever changes to that field it will automatic create a
new record and also copy the previous record for the user to edit the data or
if they want to rename the completely then they can delete the field and
rename what ever they like.

I hope this clear your curiousity and could help me with this. I would
appreciate if you could write me a code and show me where to put it.

Thank you very much
