pop up search engine

For sometime now I have had this annoying search engine
page keep popping up on my screen called pop nav and now
search nav. It fills the whole of my screen and will not
let me view the pages I am trying to. If I press back it
just keeps reappearing. I dont know where it came from or
how to get rid of it. Please can someone help? I have
tried add & remove programs and its not there, cant find
it on the search for files, and I dont have a virus.
