Pop-up comments when hovering over pictures?

I would like to create a speech bubble that pops up when I move the mouse
over a graphic, just like the little yellow box messages that appear when you
hover over a button on the toolbar.

Is this possible in PowerPoint 2003 and if so, how?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Ross,

Yes this is possible, though not without use of Hyperlinks, but it
works nicely:

Let's assume you are working on Slide 6 (for example)

1. Insert you image
2. Select the image and press CTL_K (shortcut Insert Hyperlink)
3. In the Edit Hyperlink window, Click the Scrrentip button (ALT_P)
4. Type in the text you want in the "bubble", and click OK
5. Select "Place in This Document"
6. Select Slide 6 (the slide that has the image in it). This so if you
accidentally click on the image it just brings you to the same slide)
7. Click OK

Now, in slide view, float your mouse over the image and you'll see the
"bubble" and if you click the image by accident, it will just reload
the slide.

The alternative is to create real "text bubbles" and use VBA to make
the bubble show on mouseover but be hidden otherwise.

Hope this helps

Chris

Hi Ross,
You are able to program the assistant to show a bubble. You know like the
dog you can tell him to appear what to show in a bubble and even say words.
You can use the microsoft agents like merlin and genie however there is other
software you need with them. It is free however you can't guareentee that the
computer is going to have them so I think use the assistants the dog the cat
etc they are usually on any computer.
